Join us with celebrated percussionist V. Selvaganesh (Shakti) alongside percussionist Jim Santi Owen and faculty from the Ali Akbar Khan College as we celebrate the melding of Indian classical traditions and jazz in this interactive masterclass for musicians ages 12 and older. All instruments will be encouraged, with a focus on Indian classical instruments including the tabla, kanjira and more. This special program celebrates the intersection between Indian music traditions and jazz and amplify the Bay Area's legacy in the global music continuum.
